Skirt suits are hot in the office this winter. Cut to just below the knee, they can be subtly femnine but in a totally businesslike way. Another good combination with your well-tailored suit coat is a pair of dark-colored denim that fits you well. A good pair of denim jeans with a professionally tailored jacked can give you a businesslike look that is more accessible than the common suit.
Keep away from patterns unless they are in the trim. Patterns add bulk and are at best an accent.
